Amherst Point Campground

A compact camping area located in proximity to a recreational zone within Ningaloo Marine Park.

Additional rules

Campfires are allowed only when conditions permit, and in campers' own portable, self-contained fire rings. The usual permitted season is from April to October.
Visitors should bring their own firewood, as collecting firewood and kindling is not allowed in national parks and other conservation reserves.
Dogs are allowed but must be controlled on a leash at all times.
Generator use is permitted.
Toilets are not provided, so visitors should bring and use a portable chemical cassette toilet. Waste can be dumped at the dump point 4km away or carried out of the park for disposal at an authorized dump point.
Visitors are responsible for carrying all waste out of the park as no bins are provided.
Private, unlicensed all-terrain vehicles/quad bikes (ATVs) and other off-road vehicles are not permitted in Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves.

Things to know

Access to drinking water is not available.
Personal hygiene facilities are not provided.
The period between December and April can be extremely hot, and the risk of bushfire can be very high.
Tropical cyclone season is between November and April.
Storms are common throughout WA between May and October.
Nyinggulu Coastal Reserves is located in a remote area of Australia.
It is important to ensure that you have sufficient supplies, including water, food, fuel, medication, and first aid, as well as appropriate equipment and clothing for the conditions before traveling.
