The campsite surfaces are covered with gravel, providing a stable and relatively comfortable base for setting up your camp. Camping enthusiasts can partake in campfires, as long as they adhere to specific conditions. Facilities at the Auburn River camping area include non-flush toilets, a gas barbecue for cooking, a shelter shed for protection from the elements, picnic tables for communal dining, and the aforementioned communal fire rings for campfires. Campers are advised to bring their own essentials, including drinking water, rubbish bags, a first-aid kit, insect repellent, and manufactured fuel for cooking. Mobile phone coverage in Auburn River National Park is unreliable, so visitors should be prepared for limited connectivity.
