The Bathurst Showground site – arguably Australia’s oldest Rural Showground, has been used for a range of purposes since its founding in 1815; including the annual Bathurst Royal Show, a Hospital and a Military camp.

​Today the Bathurst Showground is still the centrepiece of the Bathurst Community and is used for agricultural, livestock and various other community and social events.
