Beach Camping Zone 5 is located on K'gari (Fraser Island), situated 15km off the coast of Hervey Bay and approximately 300km north of Brisbane. The camping zone is on the eastern side of the island, positioned between Eli Creek and The Pinnacles. Eli Creek is around 61.5km north of Hook Point. Access to the camping zone requires a high clearance 4WD with low range functions. Vehicle access permits are necessary and must be displayed on your windshield before entering the recreation area. Generators are allowed in the camping area, with certain conditions to ensure minimal disruption to the natural environment. Set up your tent and camp in close proximity to nature, allowing you to truly feel the island's atmosphere. Bring your camper trailer and enjoy a comfortable camping experience with the convenience of having your accommodation on wheels. Camp beside your vehicle for easy access to your supplies and equipment.
