Additional rules
Campfires are generally allowed between April 15 and November 30, but please note that fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without prior notice. It is important to bring your own firewood and to only use the provided fire rings for campfires. During fire restrictions, campfires should not be ignited and any appliances that run on solid fuel should not be used. Always adhere to instructions provided at campgrounds and parks.
Campers are permitted to use their own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves, and heaters at any time, except during a total fire ban (refer to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services for more information).
We encourage campers to follow the Leave No Trace principles to minimize the environmental impact of their stay. Please note that very few campgrounds have waste bins, so please take all waste with you when you depart.
Things to know
The campground is highly sought-after during school holidays and weekends from October to April, particularly during public holiday weekends. It is advised to have a backup plan for accommodation during these times in case there is no suitable site available. Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of camp sites and we are unable to provide information on specific availability.
It takes around two and a half hours to reach Black Point from Augusta. To access Black Point, you need a four-wheel drive. Don't forget to reduce your tyre pressure to 10psi when you start driving on sand. The Black Point Road is not open during winter.
