Things to know
Access to the camping area is limited to four-wheel-drive vehicles only. It is not suitable for trailers, caravans, buses, or motorhomes, although off-road caravans and camper trailers are exceptions. The camping area is characterized by large open spaces that do not have separately defined campsites. Additionally, there are a small number of secluded sites along Blencoe Creek, offering a more private camping experience. The camping area offers a range of outdoor activities for nature enthusiasts. You can enjoy tent camping beside your car, camper trailer camping, walk-in camping, and it's suitable for large groups. The campsite surface is a mix of dirt and grass. Campfires are allowed, except during fire bans, but it is recommended to use fuel stoves for cooking. Firewood collection from the national park is prohibited. Generators are allowed, but only those operating at or below 65db(A) and only between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm (midday). Given its remote location, it's essential to bring your own drinking water and rubbish bags. Mobile phone coverage in the area is poor and unreliable, so be prepared for limited connectivity. It's advisable to plan and prepare adequately before your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable camping experience in this pristine natural environment.
