Burtons Well Camping Area

Relax in this spacious camping area nestled among a forest of stringybark trees and ancient grass trees. Enjoy spectacular sunrises, and at night tread quietly with your spotlight and you might be lucky to see koalas, greater gliders, squirrel gliders, sugar gliders, and other possums foraging in the tree tops. Listen for bandicoots fossicking in the leaf litter.

Choose from two popular walking tracks—Mount Kiangarow track and Cherry Plain to Burtons Well track. You’re sure to make good use of your camera and binoculars! Listen for the familiar whip-crack call of eastern whip birds in dense forest nearby and watch for wedge-tailed eagles soaring gracefully overhead.
