Dead Horse Gully Campground
Camp among the massive granite boulders of Sturt National Park - a place that has to be seen to be believed.
Located near the town of Tibooburra, an Aboriginal word meaning a ‘place of heaps of rocks’, Dead Horse Gully is surrounded by huge granite boulders that look like a pile of giant marbles. They’ve been in this place for thousands of years and with the Sturt’s desert peas growing around them; provide a dramatic and beautiful backdrop for a great outback camping experience.
It’s a well-equipped campground, with free barbecues and picnic tables that are perfect for cooking up an outback feast, and Tibooburra is nearby so you can pick up some supplies or enjoy a meal in town.
