Echo Point Bush Camp is a secluded and enchanting rainforest campsite nestled high above sea level, providing an immersive natural experience in Lamington National Park. Situated within the lush Green Mountains section of the park, approximately 110 kilometers south of Brisbane. The bush camp site is located on the Albert River circuit, 9km from the trailhead at the Green Mountains day-use area via the Border Track.

Things to know

Accessing the campsite requires a walk-in approach, with visitors traversing a graded walking track system for approximately 3 hours from the Border Track entrance. This challenging journey is tailored to experienced off-track walkers equipped with proper hiking gear and navigational skills. The campsite itself does not offer defined sites but can accommodate a maximum of 6 individuals per night. As a self-sufficient camping area, it caters to tent camping and necessitates campers to bring along essential supplies for their stay. It's important to note that the campsite operates within specific seasonal restrictions, only welcoming visitors from 1 February to 30 November each year. There are no facilities available on-site, and campers are required to be entirely self-sufficient. Campers are advised to come well-prepared with warm clothing, wet weather gear, and all necessary camping equipment. Drinking water must be sourced from nearby creeks and adequately treated before consumption. Mobile phone coverage is Poor.
