Situated in the heart of Expedition National Park, this remote campsite is a gateway to a diverse range of landscapes. The park boasts expansive natural grasslands, dense brigalow and eucalypt woodlands, and striking sandstone gorges. While the park covers a significant area, the remote campsite is accessible only by foot, reinforcing its commitment to preserving the park's pristine environment. The remote bush camp offers two non-specific sites, each capable of accommodating a group of up to six people. The requirement for a minimum group size of two ensures safety in the isolated wilderness. The remote bush camp within Expedition National Park is designed for tent camping, providing an authentic and intimate experience with nature. There are no amenities available at the site, reinforcing the need for campers to be self-sufficient. Open fires are strictly prohibited to prevent any environmental damage, with fuel stoves being the only permitted method of cooking. Similarly, generators are not allowed to ensure a quiet and undisturbed experience for all visitors. Essentials to bring drinking water, rubbish bags, fuel stove, first-aid kit and topographic map. A hand-held UHF radio, PLB and a GPS are also recommended. Always carry extra water and boil any local water before use. Mobile phone coverage is limited, generally unavailable.
