The Freshwater Camping Area is located about 8 kilometers south of Double Island Point along Teewah Beach, or roughly 40 kilometers north of the 3rd cutting on the Noosa North Shore. It's a prime spot, offering both proximity to the beach and access to the surrounding natural beauty. The camping area provides 59 shady and sheltered sites, set amidst the scribbly gum woodland, creating a serene atmosphere for campers. These sites are not individually numbered but are well-defined, offering both privacy and comfort. There are also designated group camping areas for those camping with a larger group. Access to the Freshwater Camping Area requires a high-clearance 4WD vehicle. You can reach the camping area via Freshwater Road from Rainbow Beach Road or Teewah Beach. The camping area caters to various camping preferences, including tent camping beside a car, walk-in camping, and camper trailers with good clearance. Essential items to bring include fuel or a gas stove, rubbish bags, first-aid kit, insect repellent, and sunscreen. Mobile phone coverage is not available within the camping area, but there's a pay phone for communication.
