Things to know

To reach this hidden gem, adventurers can follow the Eumundi-Kenilworth Road from the Bruce Highway, journeying approximately 24 kilometers until they reach the junction with Sam Kelly Road. Taking a left onto Sam Kelly Road, they'll continue for 2 kilometers to reach the camping area. This path is recommended for those with high clearance 4WD vehicles, as the last stretch of road might present challenges due to narrowness and past flood damage. Campers are invited to set up their tents beside their cars or camper trailers on any of the three available sites. Each site has been designed to accommodate a maximum of six people, ensuring an intimate and serene environment. While caravans are not advised due to limited space for maneuvering, tents and camper trailers fit right into the natural surroundings. The campsites, covered in natural dirt, blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment, allowing campers to immerse themselves fully in the bush experience. Picnic tables dot the area, offering spaces for outdoor meals and gatherings. Basic non-flush toilets are available for camper convenience.. While the camping area is a testament to natural beauty, it's recommended to bring your own drinking water, as the creek water is unsuitable for consumption. To ensure a comfortable stay, insect repellent and sunscreen are indispensable companions. In line with responsible camping, campers are advised to bring their own rubbish bags, as there are no waste disposal bins provided on-site. For those eager to indulge in a barbecue, clean and milled firewood is essential; however, campers are urged not to collect wood from the park. Ideally, a fuel stove should be part of your camping gear to minimize environmental impact. Mobile phone coverage is Poor.
