Greens Point

Green Point is a great spot to spend some time when looking around the area. Free camping with some facilities available. Toilet with a ramp for wheelchair access. Two covered areas with picnic tables on concrete slabs. There are rainwater tanks in each of the covered areas but don't count on there being water in them during the warmer months. You can drive a caravan to this location without the need for a 4WD. There are some bins here for rubbish but best to take as much out with you as possible.

For the more adventurous there are old alluvial gold workings up on the hill above the river to explore. The remains of two water races (aqua ducts) can still be seen in places. On the opposite side of the river, you will find the old road used during the gold rush days running close to the river. Small earth and timber bridge can be seen just off the main road.
