However, if you plan to bring a trailer, camper trailer, or a small caravan, it is advisable to use a four-wheel-drive vehicle due to the steep, loose gravel roads. Griffiths Creek camping area offers an open grassy space without defined camping sites. The flat terrain allows for flexibility in choosing your camping spot. The surface of the campsites is covered in grass, providing a comfortable base for camping activities. Campfires are allowed under certain conditions and within designated fire rings. It's essential to adhere to fire prohibitions and bans which might be in place during your visit. When preparing for your trip to Griffiths Creek camping area, it's crucial to bring essentials such as drinking water, rubbish bags, a portable toilet, a toilet trowel or shovel, insect repellent, and clean-milled timber for campfires. These items ensure a comfortable and responsible camping experience. It's important to note that mobile phone coverage is not available in the camping area. The nearest reliable reception is located near The Barracks, which is about 600 meters north of the camping area, at the end of the bitumen on Tableland Road.
