Kylies Beach Campground
Kylies Beach is named for Australian author Kylie Tennant who once lived in Laurieton and whose timber hut ‘writer’s retreat’ is nearby. Kylies Beach campground is set behind the dunes and offers car-based campsites as well as caravan and camper trailer camping, so it is a great place for family camping near the beach.
You might find you're sharing the campground with local koalas and yellow-tailed black cockatoos. They like the gum trees, so keep your eyes peeled.
There are countless opportunities to swim, surf, and fish during your stay. You'll find 4WD beach access to Crowdy Head from the campground carpark on Kylies Road. Or if you prefer to explore the area on foot, take a short stroll along Metcalfe's walking track, which links Kylies Beach campground to nearby Indian Head campground.
