Centrally located between Nimbin and Murwillumbah in the small town of Kunghur NSW, is the Misty Mountain Campground where you’ll see the morning mist roll in, then clear to reveal spectacular days! Misty Mountain Campground offers 3500 acres of private property to explore including swimming holes, a waterfall, bush walking tracks plus more and boasts magnificent views of Mt Warning and the surrounding area.

Misty Mountain is suitable for tent campers, caravans, motorhomes and big rigs and there is also a range of Onsite Accommodations available. The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region have to offer.

There are many private locations for you to set up camp which is perfect for couples wanting some time alone or families and groups who want to camp together as spots are not allocated. Gravel roads make for easy access to the main campsites, but you will need a 4WD to access the outback sites. Sites are unpowered but if you want to power it is available for a very minimal cost. You can park up in the sun if you want to use your solar or there is plenty of shady areas to choose from. Misty Mountain Campground is pet friendly and your horses are welcome too.
