Accessible by walk-in only, making it a perfect spot for those seeking solitude and a challenging hike. Tent camping is the primary form of accommodation here, with campers needing to be prepared for a long walk to reach their chosen spot. This remote campsite is reserved for experienced off-track walkers who possess specialist equipment and well-honed navigational skills. Before embarking on your journey to this remote campsite, it's crucial to assess your experience and preparedness levels, as a high level of physical fitness and navigational skills are prerequisites. Carrying proper navigation and communication gear is highly advisable. The campsite is nestled within a rainforest, offering no scenic views. The campsite is an open area without separately-defined sites, accommodating a maximum of 8 people. Campers must be self-sufficient and should carry essentials like drinking water, extra food, a first-aid kit, topographic map, compass, torch, warm clothing, wet weather gear, rubbish bags, insect repellent, and a fuel or gas stove. Open fires are prohibited; only fuel stoves are allowed. Mobile phone coverage is poor, so be prepared for limited connectivity.



This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, renowned for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and remarkable biodiversity, including rare, threatened, and endemic species. The campsite is enveloped by thick rainforest adorned with lush mosses and lichens, creating an enchanting and otherworldly atmosphere.
