Myninya Camping Area is located approximately 51 kilometers northwest from the ranger station within Currawinya National Park, ensuring a sense of remoteness and isolation from the hustle and bustle of city life. To reach Myninya Camping Area, you'll need a high clearance 4WD vehicle or off-road camper trailer, and it's advisable to visit during dry weather conditions for a safer journey. The camping area has unnumbered areas with separately defined sites, offering flexibility for campers. The ground surface is sandy and dirt, providing a natural camping experience. Campfires are allowed (conditions apply), but it's recommended to use fuel stoves for cooking, especially during fire bans. Generator use is prohibited to maintain a peaceful and natural camping environment. It's crucial to bring enough drinking water (at least seven liters per person per day) since local water is not suitable for drinking. Additionally, you should bring rubbish bags and be prepared to pack out all recyclables and rubbish, as no bins are provided. For cooking, consider bringing your own untreated, clean mill off-cuts for firewood or, preferably, a fuel or gas stove. Mobile phone coverage is available at the Ranger station located within Currawinya National Park.
