Things to know
You can reach Northbrook Mountain remote bush camp by bicycle or on foot. The camp is designed for tent camping, and you'll need to walk a bit to reach your chosen campsite. It's also accessible by mountain biking, providing an exciting journey through the natural surroundings. The campsite is walk-in only and doesn't have separately-defined sites. It can accommodate a maximum of 9 people (3 x 3-person tents) at one time. Facilities at the campsite are minimal, so you'll need to follow bush toileting practices. Open fires are permitted in the provided fireplace, except during fire bans or prohibitions. Do not collect wood from the bush, as penalties may apply. Generators are not permitted. Essentials to bring include drinking water, a first-aid kit, rubbish bags, insect repellent, a fuel stove, a tent, sturdy shoes, and appropriate clothing. Mobile phone coverage in the area is unreliable, so be prepared for limited connectivity during your stay.

To access the camp, you can embark on steep trails that wind through beautiful subtropical rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views. Additionally, a short 15-minute walk from the campsite takes you to the summit of Northbrook Mountain. Here, you can enjoy extensive views that stretch southward across the England Creek catchments. The mountain heath in this area blooms with wildflowers between winter and spring, adding a burst of color to the landscape. Northbrook Mountain remote bush camp also serves as a convenient stopover point if you plan to continue your adventure to England Creek bush camp.
