Northern Spit is situated on the northern side of Henning Island, approximately 15 kilometers east-southeast of Shute Harbour. Access to Northern Spit is exclusively by boat, making it a secluded and tranquil destination. Camping facilities at Northern Spit include composting toilets and picnic tables. There are no separately defined camping sites, and the maximum occupancy is 18 people. Open fires are prohibited, but campers are welcome to bring portable gas stoves for cooking. Generators are not allowed, ensuring a peaceful and eco-friendly atmosphere. Essentials to bring include drinking water, rubbish bags, and insect repellent. Mobile phone coverage is available.
