Paddys River Dam

  • Unpowered Site

Beautiful bush camp along side a small trout dam in Bago State Forest.

At over 1100m high, this campground does get very cold at times, even during spring and autumn, however summer is magic.

This is a great little trout dam and is a perfect spot for kayak fishing. Launching is easy right from the campsite and some big brown trout can be had. You will need a NSW fishing license to angle here.

It is a very attractive area with bushwalking tracks, and plenty of forest trails to explore through the state forest. There are platypus in the dam as well, so take some time at dawn or dusk to sit quietly by the edge of the lake and you will almost be guaranteed to spot one.
