Panorama Point remote bush camp is an exclusive retreat for experienced off-track walkers equipped with specialized skills and equipment. Accessible only by foot, this campsite sits on a small elevated montane heath site, adorned with mosses and lichens, offering a mesmerizing panoramic view of the southern end of the Main Range. However, extreme caution is advised, especially at night, due to the proximity of surrounding cliffs. There are no separately-defined camping sites; it's an open area with a maximum capacity of 4 people. Open fires are prohibited; only fuel stoves are allowed. Generator use is not allowed. The campsite is a small, elevated montane heath area with expansive views over the southern end of the Main Range. Campers should bring drinking water, extra food, a first-aid kit, topographic maps, compass, torch, warm clothing, wet weather gear, rubbish bags, insect repellent, a fuel or gas stove, and a small trowel for burying human waste. Mobile phone coverage in this remote area is poor, so be prepared for limited or no cellular connectivity.

The campsite is located near The Steamers, a group of four ancient peaks rising from the forest. They are collectively named for their resemblance to the structures of an old steamship—the prow, funnel, mast, and stern. You can enjoy the stunning panoramic views from the southern edge of the campsite, taking in the beauty of The Steamers and the surrounding landscape.
