Patonga Foreshore Caravan & Camping Area
Patonga Camping Ground is in Brisbane Waters National Park, located between Patonga Creek and Patonga Beach. Visitors to Patonga come for the natural surroundings, tranquillity and just to get away from it all. The idyllic surroundings, spectacular views, and secluded atmosphere make it the perfect spot to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Best of all, it's only a 1.5-hour drive north of Sydney. Patonga is at the mouth of the Hawkesbury River, surrounded by Brisbane Waters National Park.
Patonga Camping Ground is alongside the calm waters of Patonga Creek and directly adjacent to Patonga Beach, making it the perfect spot for boating, fishing, swimming, and other water activities.
There are several popular bush-walking tracks that offer spectacular views of Patonga, Hawkesbury and the surrounding national park. Bird life is abundant, and the national park is home to an array of wildlife.
Within walking distance of the camping ground is The Boathouse Tavern & Bistro, which has a deck with views overlooking the water. Patonga has a Cafe/Takeaway and the Bake-house Art Gallery.
A ferry service operates from Patonga public wharf, offering day trips to nearby Palm Beach. Bring canoes, stand up paddle boards, surf skis, fishing gear, bikes etc., or arrange to hire from nearby areas prior to your stay.
