After consultation with NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), it appears they currently have no legislation relating to the use of Rest Areas for overnight stays. Whilst this Rest Area is known to be used by RVs for overnight stays and publicised as such in various lists, campers should be aware that such use may be deemed illegal by them and subject to localised interpretation by authorities. We would further advise that the use of this area for overnight stays is to be considered limited to one night only unless local signage indicates otherwise.
