Access to Sweetwater Lake camping area requires a 4WD vehicle, and visitors are advised to exercise caution and practice minimal impact driving when exploring the park. The camping area accommodates both tent camping and camper trailer camping. Visitors can enjoy the scenic drive to reach this campsite. Sweetwater Lake offers opportunities for boating and fishing. There is no shade provided at the campsite, so campers are advised to bring their own shade structures. Campfires are allowed, but specific conditions apply, so it's essential to check fire regulations before lighting a campfire. Generators are allowed, with restrictions on noise levels and operating hours (8:00 am to 7:00 pm). Essential items to bring include food, drinking water, equipment for treating water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, mosquito nets, a fuel stove, and adequate fuel and spare parts for your vehicle. Mobile phone coverage is not available in this remote area, so plan accordingly.
