The Settlement camping area is the sole camping facility located within Springbrook National Park, a pristine natural reserve in Queensland, Australia. This camping area is easily accessible via conventional vehicles, trail bikes, bicycles, and on foot. Things to know

To reach The Settlement camping area, travelers heading from the Gold Coast should turn left off Springbrook Road at the Springbrook Public Hall onto Carricks Road and follow the well-marked signs. The camping area is situated on the right side of Carricks Road. It is conveniently accessible by various means, making it suitable for a wide range of visitors. There are a total of 11 well-defined camping sites. Tents, camper trailers, and campervans. Each site measures approximately 10m x 4.2m and includes an individual parking bay. Please note that caravans are not suitable for these sites. The camping area features soil and grassed areas with gravel parking bays. Facilities include toilets, drinking water, and a cooking shelter equipped with free electric barbecues. It's important to note that there are no shower facilities or rubbish bins provided on-site, so campers are encouraged to take their rubbish home or utilize the nearby community waste and recycling center located on Carricks Road. Open fires are strictly prohibited at The Settlement camping area, so it's recommended to use fuel stoves for cooking. Generators are not permitted within the camping area to maintain a peaceful and environmentally friendly atmosphere. Mobile phone coverage is moderate in the area, with better reception available at the park's lookouts, where you can enjoy scenic views of the Gold Coast.
