This camping area can only be reached by 4WD vehicles. It is also open for high-clearance off-road camper trailers, but only in dry weather conditions due to potentially challenging terrain. Thrushton Homestead camping area is an open area without separately defined sites. This means that campers have the flexibility to choose their preferred spot within the designated camping area. This camping area is suitable for various camping styles, including tent camping beside your car and walk-in camping. It is also accessible for high-clearance off-road camper trailers. The camping area features a dirt surface, which adds to the rustic and natural feel of the environment. Open fires are prohibited at this camping area for safety reasons. Campers are encouraged to use fuel stoves for cooking. The use of generators is not allowed in order to maintain a peaceful and natural camping experience. Visitors are advised to bring their own drinking water, rubbish bags to pack out their trash, insect repellent to ward off bugs, and a gas stove for cooking.
