Treachery Camp Seal Rocks

  • Cabin
  • Unpowered Site

Situated on 38 acres behind Treachery Beach, Surrounded by the Myall Lakes National Park, Treachery Camp offers its guests an unspoiled coastal retreat within 4 hours of Sydney.

Treachery Beach is unspoiled and known for its excellent surf breaks, Great fishing, and relaxed pace.

The beach fishing is excellent with catches of Whiting, Bream, Tailor, and Jewfish common. Local baits such as Pipi, Beachworms, and Cunjevoi are readily available. Rock fishing is also popular with Blackfish, Drummer, and Gropers common for the majority of the year. During the warmer months Yellowtail Kingfish, Longtail tuna, and Cobia can be caught from various rock platforms around the area.

The beach, headland, and seascape scenery are spectacular and are popular with photographers and painters. There are many walks along the four beaches and through the bush, behind which are remnants of the littoral rainforest with unusual species of plants and birds.
The birdlife is abundant and very rewarding to the dedicated birdwatcher.

The Seal Rocks Lighthouse is a popular attraction with its well-kept light station and keepers' cottages. The views from the light are spectacular with the Seal Rocks in the foreground and Broughton Island and Port Stephens away to the south. Quite a few visitors come just for the peace and tranquillity of being able to stay in the bush and watch the birds, koalas, and goannas from their site.
