Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings, but only when conditions allow. The usual season for campfires is from April to November. Please bring your own firewood as collecting it from national parks and conservation reserves is not permitted.
Please note that dogs are not allowed in the camping area. Generator use is allowed at all campsites, but only between 8am and 9pm.
To maintain cleanliness, please do not empty chemical toilet waste into campground toilets. Instead, dispose of it in an authorized dump point outside the park. Remember to carry all waste out of the park, as no bins are provided on-site.
Things to know
If you're planning to camp at Walyunga National Park, you can make reservations online. However, there are only five sites available for camping, so it's recommended to book in advance. Visitors must also pay park access fees. The camping area is located just 2 kilometers from the Swan River and can accommodate different types of camping arrangements.
To reach the park, you can take the Great Northern Highway either 40km north-east of Perth or 20km north of Midland. The journey usually takes around an hour via the Great Northern Highway and Walyunga Road. The park is open every day from 8am to 5pm for visitors.
