Warner Glen Campground

Warner Glen Campground, also known as Chapman Pool, is a stunning camping and day-use location in the Blackwood National Park, managed by Parks and Wildlife. It is nestled in the picturesque jarrah forest beside the Chapman River. The campground features a small beach, which is especially popular among children. Here, you can enjoy swimming or launch a self-propelled boat, kayak, or canoe.

Additional rules

The use of generators is prohibited in all areas of the campground.
Campfires are typically allowed in designated fire rings from April 15 to November 30, but fire restrictions may be implemented at any time without prior notice. You must bring your own firewood. During times of fire restrictions, campfires must not be lit and any appliance that burns solid fuel should not be used. Always comply with instructions given at campgrounds and parks.
You can use your own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves, and heaters while camping, unless a total fire ban has been announced (refer to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services for information).
Campers are encouraged to adhere to the Leave No Trace principles to minimize the environmental impact of their visit.
Most campgrounds have limited or no waste bins, so it is important to take all waste with you when you depart.

Things to know

There are two sections in the camping area – one for group camping and another with 9 individual campsites. It is advised to bring your own drinking water and firewood, but only when fires are allowed. Dogs are allowed, but they must be kept on a leash as there are animal baits in the area.

The individual campsites are equipped with fireplaces and picnic tables, and they are well-spaced apart. These sites are more suitable for smaller camper-vans or tenting, and not recommended for those towing a caravan or boat. Drop toilets are available, and there is a shared camp kitchen with a shelter and barbecues.

You can also enjoy swimming in the nearby brook and river, or launch your canoe or kayak. For a scenic view of the pool and brook, there is an elevated platform with bench seats that can be reached by taking a short walk through the forest.

Neighborhood

At the nearby Chapman Pool 'day use' locations, a ramp is available to facilitate entrance to Chapman Brook. Additionally, just 200 meters downstream, the Blackwood River can be accessed for activities such as swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. A brief pathway through the forest is available for exploration, and platforms with bench seating offer panoramic views of the pool and brook.
