Wongi Waterholes Camp

Wongi Waterholes camping area has an open site for bush camping to suit families, groups, caravans, tents, and motor homes. Picnic tables, toilets, and cold showers are provided. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Book your campsite online. Camp amongst the eucalypt forest near the edges of the Wongi waterholes. Simply relax by the waterholes observing the abundant wildlife. Enjoy an easy walk on the trail along the water's edge, or go canoeing on the tranquil waters. Location: turn off Warrah Road onto Access Road and follow directional signage to the camping or day-use area. Parking is available next to your campsite or in the day-use area. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle in dry weather conditions. It is accessible for trailers; caravans; buses; motor homes. Caution: the access roads can be severely corrugated. Open fires are prohibited. Fuel or gas stoves are recommended. Generator use is permitted. Only generators that operate at or below 65dB(A) are allowed. Generators may be operated between 9 am and 8 pm only and the owner must be present at the site when the generator is in use. Mobile phone coverage is not reliable in Wongi State Forest. The nearest reliable mobile phone reception is at the junction of Warrah Road and Warrah Top Road.
