Yardie Creek Campground
Yardie Creek Campground is at the southern end of Cape Range National Park near the popular day-use area and Yardie Creek Boat Cruise.
The campground offers 10 sites located approximately 80m from the beach (four sites have partial shade). Bookings are required during peak season (April to October). Check-in and check-out are 10 am. Bookings cannot be made within 48 hours of the time of arrival. From November to March, however, camping sites are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and bookings are not applicable.
Campground hosts stay in the park from April to the end of November.
Campsite dimensions are specific. Ensure your vehicle or tent is suitable for your chosen campsite.
All 10 campsites are suitable for large campervans or large caravans and camper trailers: reverse in, drive out. (A large campervan is up to 8.5m x 4.5m fully expanded. A large caravan or camper trailer is up to 9.5m x 5m, fully expanded, including a drawbar.)
Tents are permitted at all sites but the surface is compacted gravel. Driving pegs into the ground may be difficult. Sleeping may be uncomfortable without a thick sleeping mat, mattress, or a camp cot or stretcher.
Campsites have no power or water but the views and natural beauty are second to none. Fees apply and there are restrictions to the length of time you can camp.
