The camping area is located 16 kilometers west of Amamoor township, accessible via Amamoor Creek Road. While the last section of the road is gravel, it is suitable for conventional vehicles, including those towing caravans. Amamoor Creek Camping Area caters to various camping preferences, including tent camping, caravan camping, camper trailer camping, campervan camping, and motor home camping. There are open grassy areas without specifically defined camping sites. The campsites are covered with grass, providing a comfortable and natural camping experience. One unique feature of this camping area is that it welcomes dogs. However, there are specific conditions that need to be followed. Dogs must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Mobile phone coverage is not available at the camping area, with the nearest reliable reception being at the Amama day-use area.
