Instead, it offers an open area where campers can choose their spots on a first-come, first-served basis. The campsite features a natural dirt and grass surface, maintaining a rustic ambiance that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. Open fires are prohibited at Bloodwood Camp. Campers are encouraged to use fuel stoves for cooking and warmth. The use of generators is not allowed, preserving the natural serenity of the area. It's important to note that mobile phone coverage is poor in this area. However, occasional network coverage can be obtained at elevated points along the trail between Hayward lookout and Airlie Beach, allowing you to stay somewhat connected if necessary.
