1) Open fires: on-ground campfires prohibited. Above-ground fire containers permitted—bring your own clean, milled timber. Remove your fire container when you leave. Fuel stoves are recommended.
2) Generators: not allowed.

Things to know

Turn off the Bruce Highway at Ilbilbie, drive east towards Greenhill, then turn left into Cape Palmerston Road. The camping area is approximately 6km from the park boundary. Accessible by high clearance 4WD and boats. Check tide times before driving on the beach, as tides can vary up to 6 meters. Tent camping and camper trailer camping are both available. You can set up your tent or high-clearance camper trailer in a spacious and grassy area. The camping area is shaded by sheoaks, providing relief from the sun. On-ground campfires are prohibited, but above-ground fire containers are allowed. Remember to bring your own clean, milled timber, and remove your fire container when you leave. Ensure you bring drinking water, food, rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, a first-aid kit, and a reliable torch. Mobile phone coverage is poor in this area, so it's recommended to carry satellite phones, marine radios, or Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs).
