Dandabah Camping Area is easily accessible by conventional vehicles and bicycles. The area is located near the park's south-east entrance and can be reached by turning off Bunya Mountains Road onto Bunya Avenue, followed by a 1km drive to the camping area. Open area without separately defined sites for up to 70 people. Essential items to bring include rubbish bags, insect repellent, and fuel or gas stoves for cooking. Mobile phone coverage Poor.

1) Enjoy the spacious open grassy area for leisure activities like playing football or frisbee.
2) Venture into the surrounding forest on various walking tracks, ranging from short strolls to half-day hikes. The Scenic circuit is a must-try trail.
3) Experience the park's rich cultural and historic sites.
4) After dusk, you can spot the common ringtail possum and observe thousands of tiny chocolate-wattled bats roosting in the old timber school house at the edge of the Dandabah picnic area.
