Manna Gum Camping Area
This spacious camping area is shaded by tall manna gums and is close to several great walking tracks. Fill your days exploring the Ridge track, and the Dalrymple and Cascades circuits.
At night, sit around the campfire while the kids spotlight for frogs, owls, phascogales, bats, wallabies, bandicoots, possums, and gliders. If you’re particularly quiet, you may see shy red-necked pademelons feeding on the grass on the forest edges.
In spring and summer, listen for the harsh and loud call of great barred frogs as their ‘wark-wark-wark’ fills the still night air.
This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, famed for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and diversity (especially of rare, threatened, and endemic species).
