North Jardine River Camping Area is a rustic and remote camping spot situated on the northern bank of the Jardine River in northern Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 32 kilometers south of Injinoo and can be accessed via Telegraph Road. This camping area offers a unique and adventurous experience for nature enthusiasts and 4WD enthusiasts.

1) Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply) in existing fireplaces only. Do not collect firewood from the national park. Fuel stoves are recommended.
2) Generators: generators that operate at a noise level less than 65dB(A) at 7m are permitted.

Things to know

Accessible only by 4WD vehicles and off-road campervans and camper trailers. It is not suitable for caravans or conventional buses. There are six numbered camp sites available.
The campsite surface consists of dirt. Camping at North Jardine River is primarily for tents and off-road camper trailers. Campfires are allowed, but conditions and fire bans must be observed. Campfires can only be lit in existing fireplaces; collecting firewood from the national park is prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended. Generators are allowed, provided they operate at a noise level less than 65dB(A) at 7 meters. Mobile phone coverage is not available at North Jardine River Camping Area. Be prepared for limited or no communication with the outside world during your stay.
