Located just off the Palmerston Highway, approximately 38 kilometers from Innisfail, Henrietta Creek camping area offers a total of 10 numbered camping sites, each catering to different preferences and needs. The camping area's facilities are designed to provide comfort and convenience while maintaining a close connection to nature. For outdoor cooking and dining, electric and fuel barbecues are available free of charge, allowing campers to savor delicious meals in the midst of nature's beauty. Picnic tables, some of which are sheltered, provide spaces for shared meals and relaxation. The campsite also features non-flush toilets, embracing sustainable practices without compromising on comfort. Generators must operate at or below 65dB(A) when measured from a distance of 7 meters, and their use is limited to the hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Campers are advised to come prepared with essentials such as drinking water, rubbish bags, and insect repellent. Due to the absence of mobile phone coverage, it's a perfect opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and fully embrace the tranquility of the natural environment.
