Miyumba Camping Area is accessible by 4WD vehicles. The camping area is situated in a remote location, so it's important to be prepared for off-road travel. This camping area provides basic facilities, including non-flush toilets. Campers can set up tents, camper trailers, or campervans. You can also camp beside your car if you prefer. While the facilities are minimal, the focus here is on a self-sufficient camping experience amidst nature. Miyumba Camping Area is relatively small and is set in open woodland near the Gregory River. Shade is limited, so be prepared for the Queensland sun. The campsites have a dirt surface. It's recommended to bring your own drinking water, a fuel or gas stove for cooking, and rubbish bags. Adequate preparation is crucial due to the remote nature of the area. Mobile phone coverage is not available at Miyumba Camping Area or Riversleigh D Site. Visitors are advised to consider bringing a UHF radio (channels one and six are local repeaters), a satellite phone, or a personal locator beacon (PLB). Mobile phone coverage is limited and unreliable in the national park.
