Terrawambella (trailer/tent Site) Camping Area

Terrawambella Camping Area is a picturesque and spacious camping site located in Girraween National Park, situated on the border between Queensland and New South Wales. This camping area offers a unique camping experience with its magnificent views of The Pyramid and Castle Rock, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts, families, and large groups.

Things to know

The camping area is accessible by conventional vehicles, and there are two access roads to the Girraween Visitor Centre, both suitable for conventional vehicles. The camping area features one large site measuring 12m x 14m, making it suitable for accommodating two camper trailers or a combination of a trailer and a tent. The camping area offers open sites suitable for various-sized camper trailers, caravans, and mobile homes. There is also a designated group site for larger, organized groups, particularly educational groups, with a capacity for up to 110 people. The main amenities block at Terrawambella camping area is wheelchair-accessible. Open fires are permitted in QPWS barbecues only, except during fire bans or prohibitions. Fuel stoves are recommended. Generators are not permitted.
Campers are required to bring their drinking water, rubbish bags (no bins provided), insect repellent, and fuel or gas stoves in case of wet weather. Mobile phone coverage is not available in this area.
