The Tully Gorge camping area is situated approximately 41 kilometers from the Bruce Highway turnoff via Tully Gorge Road. It is accessible by conventional vehicles, making it relatively easy to reach for most visitors. The camping area boasts a large, open, grassy expanse with plenty of shade-providing trees, creating a pleasant atmosphere for campers. Camping pads have been specially designed and hardened to withstand wet weather conditions, ensuring suitability for campervans and motorhomes. The Tully River runs alongside the camping area, adding to its natural charm. It is also well-suited for large groups, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or group outings. Campfires are allowed, with some conditions and restrictions applying. Fires should be contained within designated fire rings. Generators are permitted, provided they operate quietly at or below 65dB(A) and are limited to use between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Drinking water is available, but it is not suitable for drinking, so campers are advised to bring their own potable water. Campers are advised to bring a fuel stove for cooking, as collecting firewood from the park is prohibited. Mobile phone coverage is not available at the camping area, so visitors should plan accordingly.
